The Norris Community Library is pleased to announce the winners of the first Norris Chalk Walk.
In conjunction with the 75th Anniversary Committee and the Norris Community Library, 26 individual participants and 10 groups made chalk masterpieces at the Norris Bus Circle on July 4th, Norris Day. Over 140 votes were cast from community members to decide winning pieces in four categories: Elementary, Middle/High School, Adult, and Family/Group/Team. Winners received a $25 gift card from Jerry’s Artarama.
Elementary Winner: Mason Engles
Middle/High School Winner: Linus Martin
Adult Winner: Sonia Summers
Family/Team Winner: The Dyer Family
Major thanks to the many staff, volunteers, sponsors, and artists that made this event a success despite it getting rained out once. Special thanks to Alison Greenhouse, Kelsie Herrell, and the 75th Norris Anniversary Committee who planned and organized the event. Going forward, we hope to make this an annual event, so stay tuned to the Norris Library facebook page and website for any updates.
